How to Plan a Six-Frame Gallery Wall

A gallery wall is a complete arrangement, not just a count of frames. Start with the overall footprint, then check the individual sizes and the placement guide supplied with the set.

1. Check the whole arrangement

Fremat’s Saffron Terrace Balance set lists a wall area of 150 × 100 cm, including planned gaps. The Quiet Forms Statement set lists 170 × 100 cm. Both have six frames, but they need different amounts of wall space.

Mark the outside boundary on your wall first. Check it against nearby doors, curtains, switches and furniture. Do not assume that six equal spaces or a single straight row will reproduce the product arrangement.

2. Read the frame labels

The Balance arrangement uses these widths × heights:

• A: 40 × 50 cm, portrait.
• B: 30 × 40 cm, portrait.
• C: 60 × 50 cm, landscape.
• D: 50 × 40 cm, landscape.
• E: 40 × 50 cm, portrait.
• F: 30 × 40 cm, portrait.

Keep the letters with the matching frames. Turning a landscape piece into portrait changes its footprint and the intended composition.

3. Use the full-size paper template

The listed Balance and Statement sets include a full-size printed placement template and hanging hardware. Their product pages show smaller two-dimensional previews. Use the supplied full-size template for positioning; do not measure the image on your phone or print a screenshot and assume it is to scale.

Check the template’s orientation, align it with the planned wall area, and review the composition before making holes. Use the actual frame hardware to determine fixing points. A frame outline alone does not tell you where its hanging point sits.

4. Match the fixings to the wall

The appropriate fixing depends on the wall construction and the weight it must support. Confirm suitability before installation, and ask a qualified installer when unsure. Keep the final arrangement clear of door movement and places where people may bump into it.

5. Confirm what arrives

For these sets, the six framed artworks, placement template and hanging hardware are included. The product descriptions specify PVC frames with clear glass fronts and an optional printed white border. Furniture and styling accessories in the room images are not included.
