How to Prepare a Photo for a Custom Framed Print
Fremat · 30/10/2026

A photograph can look sharp on a phone and still need a closer check before a large print. Start with the original file, decide the crop, and compare it with the frame size you want.
Use the original photograph
Choose the original camera file where possible. A screenshot or a copy repeatedly shared through messaging apps may contain less detail. Open the image at full size and inspect the main subject, faces and fine edges. Increasing the pixel count alone does not guarantee that lost detail returns.
Match the image proportions
A 30 × 40 cm portrait print has a 3:4 ratio. A 50 × 70 cm portrait print has a 5:7 ratio. They are different shapes, so one image may need a different crop at each size. Decide which parts of the image must stay visible, and leave room around faces, text and other important details.
Understand pixels and print size
Pixel dimensions describe how much image data the file contains. A print’s size describes how large that data is displayed. As a mathematical example, 30 × 40 cm at 300 pixels per inch corresponds to approximately 3543 × 4724 pixels. This is a planning example, not Fremat’s universal minimum or a guarantee of print quality. Sharpness, compression, artwork type and viewing distance also affect the result.
Review the crop before payment
Use the available preview to check orientation and cropping. If the customizer is unavailable or the result is unclear, contact Fremat before placing the order rather than assuming how the image will be trimmed. Confirm supported file formats and the current upload limit in the uploader or with the team; these can change.
Check the frame specification
The Create Your Own Frame product states that standard sizes use PVC frames, while 100 × 70 cm uses Premium Musky Wood with a clear acrylic front. Its listed prices include a 10% customization fee, rounded to the nearest whole EGP. Check the current options and price for the size you select. Shipping is calculated at checkout.
